An annual campaign hosted by the Milton Public Library (MPL) has returned for the fourth year in a row.

Throughout the month of October and in celebration of Ontario Public Library Week, MPL is running the annual “Food for Fine” campaign to support the Milton Community Resource Centre’s Infant Food Bank and Salvation Army.

The initiative works by allowing residents to donate items as payment for fines on overdue library materials.

Items such as non-perishable food items, baby formula or diapers (sizes 4, 5 and 6) will be accepted at any of MPL’s three branches to help local families in need.

Residents will receive $10 off the fee for baby formula, up to $10 off for diapers and $1 off non-perishable items.

Items may be dropped off from Oct. 16 to Nov. 5.
