Fog advisory in effect for Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, Hamilton and Durham

If you plan on driving in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton (Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills), Hamilton or parts of Durham (Pickering, Oshawa and Southern Durham Region), exercise caution due to heavy fog.
According to Environment Canada, a fog advisory is in effect for a large swath of Southern Ontario today (Jan. 17) and there may be near zero visibility when the fog is densest.
Foggy conditions are expected to continue into this evening, with visibility expected to improve from west to east tonight.
Environment Canada says fog may be slower to dissipate over areas of higher terrain.
The fog could make driving dangerous. Motorists are advised to slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and prepare to stop if necessary.
