The Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) has issued a flood outlook statement for this week for parts of Mississauga and Brampton.

With inclement weather expected for Wednesday (June 9) and Thursday residents of both cities should be prepared for the possibility of flooding.

Over the next few days, severe thunderstorms are expected, due to high humidity levels and dropping temperatures, as well as heavy rain.

While the CVC suggests flooding along the Credit River and its major tributaries is not expected, urban areas could experience flooding due to heavy rainfall associated with the storms.

The CVC will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
