Dozens of great new restaurants have recently opened in Mississauga over the past year, including five exciting additions to Mississauga’s premier outdoor shopping centre: Heartland Town Centre.

Situated around the intersection of Mavis and Britannia, the massive shopping centre (2,200,000 square feet) has a wide variety of stores offering everything from food to fashion to fun.

Heartland’s dining options are continuing to expand all the time, with hot new restaurants opening regularly.

Feeling hungry? Here are five new restaurants to check out at Heartland Town Centre:

DoughBox Wood Fired Pizza & Pasta
5955 Latimer Drive

DoughBox may be the new name in town, but they have decades of experience building the ultimate wood fired pizzas, authentic pastas, and fresh salads. The restaurant uses fresh ingredients and top-secret recipes, and even lets customers watch as their meal is made right in front of them. One of their biggest crowd pleasers is the Unlimited Pizza, which lets you build your own pizza with over 40 fresh pizza toppings and five sauces to choose from. Pizzas are cooked in 180 seconds in their wood fired oven, combining speed with authentic flavour.

Famoso
6045 Mavis Road

Founded in 2007, Famoso is a premium casual full-service Italian pizzeria and bar that replicate pizzerias from Naples, Italy – otherwise known as the birthplace of pizza. The restaurant specializes in traditional family-sourced recipes and Italian pizza-making techniques that have gone unchanged for generations. Famoso serves authentic Neapolitan pizza with high-quality ingredients cooked in an Inferno oven imported from Italy. There’s also a variety of Italian inspired dishes on the menu, including tapas, pastas, sandwiches and entrees.

Pür & Simple
6045 Mavis Road

One of Canada’s most popular all-day breakfast franchises is now open at Heartland Town Centre. Pür & Simple believes breakfast is the most important meal of the day, with a massive breakfast menu consisting of gourmet omelettes, homemade waffles, buttermilk pancakes, sweet and savoury crepes, avocado toast, and more. They also have burgers (beef and chicken), grilled cheese, a chicken wrap called the “Cluck Norris”, and even steak tacos on their lunch menu. As for drinks, Pür & Simple offers a selection of coffee, smoothies, cocktails, and more.

Get Grill
Coming December 13

For those who love Afro-Asian food, Get Grill promises a unique blend of spices and flavours that brings their take on this unique cuisine to life. The restaurant’s menu features wraps and bowls with your choice of steak or chicken: Jerk, suya, shombo, as well as blackened steak, basil chicken, BBQ chicken, butter chicken and tandoori chicken. They also have veggie and seafood options, including Mediterranean, tiger shrimp, and grilled salmon. You can get your meal with a side of veggie fried rice, Mediterranean seasoned potatoes, fries, and grilled veggies.

COBS
5885 Rodeo Drive

COBS is one of Canada’s most well-known bakery chains. In addition to their new location at Heartland, they currently operate multiple other locations in Mississauga and dozens more throughout Ontario and other Canadian provinces. The bakery offers a variety of baked goods ranging from sweet to savoury, including breads, scones, tarts, buns, baguettes, croissants, danishes, pizza bases, and more.
