A quintet of new condo and apartment towers could be coming just down the block from the Brampton courthouse.

The City of Brampton has received a development application to build five highrise towers at 200 Country Court Blvd. in Brampton. The proposed buildings would be 44, 38, 34, 28 and 22 storeys tall and could bring some 1,900 resident units to the city.

The mixed-use application by Stanford Homes is currently in the pre-consultation phase and, if approved, would see the demolition of all the existing structures at the site to make way for the new towers.

Two of the towers would be connected by a podium, and Stanford said in its application there would be townhouse units, as well as condos and retail space.

A private driveway would service all of the five proposed towers while connecting County Court Blvd. to Havelock Dr. and provide access to all loading and parking services for the proposed development.

The new development in Brampton would be zoned under the Hurontario Corridor and includes plans for an on-site park, public space, and two separate outdoor amenity areas.
