Five facing numerous charges after police seize guns and drugs in Mississauga and Brampton

Police say they’ve laid charges against five men for firearm and drug related offences.

On Monday, May 24, Peel police’s Specialized Enforcement Bureau and Tactical Unit conducted search warrants at two residences — one in the area of Hurontario St and Lakeshore Rd E in Mississauga, and the other in the area of Ebenezer Rd and The Gore Rd in Brampton.

Police say they located and seized a .32 Caliber Silver Smith and Wesson snub nose revolver, a .40 Caliber Black Sig Sauer P320 handgun, ammunition, and a quantity of fentanyl, cocaine and cash.

Five people are facing charges.

23 year old Brampton man Rohit Rehal, who police say was on bail for attempted murder, is charged with:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (x2)
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited firearm
  • Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
  • Tampering with serial number
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (x2)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Breach of Recognizance

23 year old Mississauga man Liam Ford is charged with:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (x2)
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited firearm
  • Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
  • Tampering with serial number
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (x2)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

20 year old Toronto man Malcolm Anderson is charged with:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (x2)
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited firearm
  • Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
  • Tampering with serial number
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (x2)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Breach of Prohibition Order

23 year old St. Catherines man Mitchell Dunham and 23 year old Toronto man Jacob Nobre are charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Police say the former three attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Tuesday, May 25, while the latter two will attend court at a later date.
