A new housing report reveals where homes sold for the lowest (and highest) prices in the Greater Toronto Area in April.
Home prices are lower than one year ago. The average selling price in the GTA, at $1,051,969, was down by 4.9 per cent compared to April 2025, according to the latest report from the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board.
The number of homes sold, however, has increased. A total of 5,946 home sales were recorded through TRREB’s MLS System in April 2026 – an increase of seven per cent compared to April 2025.
New buyers looking to enter the market may want to find neighbourhoods with the lowest prices.
Each month, real estate platform Wahi lists neighbourhoods with the most and least expensive homes. Wahi used the median home sale prices in GTA neighbourhoods with five or more sales in April to create the lists.
Last month, the least expensive neighbourhoods were outside the core. Brampton and Mississauga neighbourhoods were both on the list.
The Queen Street corridor in Brampton had the least expensive homes with a median sold price of $412,750. Eight homes were sold, and it took an average of 30 days to sell properties, according to Wahi.
Yorkdale in North York is second on the list with a median sold price of $470,00. Nine homes sold in April, and it took an average of 22 days to sell a property, according to Wahi.
City Centre Mississauga is third on this list with a median sold price of $480,000, according to Wahi. This area of Mississauga, full of high-rise buildings, continues to see a high volume of sales. A total of 52 places sold last month, and it took an average of 37 days to sell properties.

The most expensive neighbourhoods include areas with huge, luxury homes. Most neighbourhoods are in old Toronto, aside from the prestigious Eastlake neighbourhood in Oakville.
Topping the list is the Casa Loma neighbourhood, which, as the name suggests, is the area around Toronto’s gothic revival castle. The median sold price was over $3.68 million in April. A total of six homes sold, and properties took an average of 32 days to sell.
Moore Park is next with a median sold price of $3.65 million. A total of five homes sold here, and it took an average of 11 days to sell.
Third is Rosedale with a median sold price of $3.1 million. A total of nine homes sold in April, and it took an average of 27 days to sell properties.
