A new one-of-a-kind spot for Vietnamese cuisine is coming to Toronto.

Renso Pho-Potle is a new, cozy pho space built from the ground up with accessibility and a relaxed vibe in mind, operating as a drop-in dining space where guests are in the driver’s seat with a fully customizable pho experience.

The concept is a response to downtown Toronto’s fast-paced environment — as with a high influx of foot traffic — culinary minds behind Renso Pho-Potle stated that a place to drop in and get a high-quality meal made exactly the way you want is something the city has long needed.

Beyond the traditional flavours that come with the iconic broth-based Vietnamese hot noodle soup, Renso Pho-Potle is also shaking things up by offering dry pho — a reimagining of the dish that integrates the flavours of the broth dynamically.

According to a recent release, the new location operates as a drop-in dining space where guests will be in the driver’s seat, as the entire menu offers a fully customizable pho experience.

Beyond the traditional flavours that come with the territory of the iconic broth-based Vietnamese hot noodle soup, Renso Pho-Potle is also shaking things up by offering dry pho — a reimagining of the dish that integrates the flavours of the broth dynamically.

“We’ve worked carefully to honour the flavours that make pho so distinctive, while adapting them into a format that fits modern lifestyles,” said Chef Bich Nguyen, in an official statement. “It’s about balancing the integrity of the ingredients while making the experience simple and engaging for guests.”

As a result of pursuing outside-the-box culinary endeavours, downtown Toronto’s Renso Pho-Potle will be the first of its kind in the country.

While not much has been revealed in terms of menu items, the restaurant’s current website promises that guests will be offered a wide selection of rich and creamy broths, fresh herbs, bold and experimental toppings, and premium meats.

“We saw an opportunity to bring something new to Canada, taking a dish people already love and making it more accessible, customizable and fast,” said Linda Vu, founder of Renso Pho-Potle, in an official statement. “This is just the beginning. Our goal is to build Renso Pho-Potle into a concept that can grow in communities across the country.”

Beyond the purview of being a space for relaxed, cozy dining, the location will also serve as a space for events, pop-ups, tastings and community nights.
