First Hamilton location for burrito chain that is expanding nationwide

There is a new place to check out if burritos are one of your go-tos when you are craving a fast-casual meal.

Fresh Burrito, a Southern Ontario-based chain, has opened its first Hamilton location in a plaza at 700 Queenston Rd. in Stoney Creek. It is the 24th location overall for Fresh Burrito, which says on its website “strive(s) to offer healthy alternatives like par-boiled rice, pan-fried Fish, shrimps, and chicken, (along with) sugar- and preservative-free salsas, as well as natural vegan and vegetarian options and gluten-free choices.”

The menu contains no fewer than 17 different protein filling options for burritos. Butter chicken, chorizo, pulled pork and steak-and-shrimp are among the choices for the committed carnivore, while some of the more intriguing vegan/vegetarian options include organic tofu, sautéed veggie and sweet potato.

The chain’s first location opened in Waterloo Region in 2015. Fresh Burrito says all of its food is prepared on-site.

Fresh Burrito says it offering franchises across Canada, with an aim of having at least 40 restaurants by the start of 2024.

More information about the restaurant is available at freshburrito.ca. The 700 Queenston Rd. location, which is reachable at 905-578-5757, is open from 10:30 a.m. to 12 midnight seven days per week. It is also affiliated with DoorDash, SkipTheDishes and Uber Eats.
