For those who love their beer and their tacos, a festival combining the two is coming to the Niagara Falls Convention Centre next month.

The “I Love Beer and Tacos Festival” (more specifically, the “I ❤︎ BEER & Taco Festival”) will land in Niagara Falls on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

In fact, Niagara Falls is so pumped for their first-ever beer and tacos showdown that at the last City Council meeting, they declared it “municipally significant.”

Granted, that’s not unusual. Whenever event organizers want to speed things up, especially getting a Special Occasion permit from the AGCO, which allows alcohol to be sold, they’ll often seek official approval from City Hall.

Organizer Tiffany Martin is no newcomer to this particular festival, noting, “We have run this event in the past in other cities and are excited to bring it to Niagara.”

In fact, Niagara Falls is sandwiched in the middle of a schedule that will also see tacos touch down in Hamilton, Ottawa, Kitchener, London, Markham, Guelph and Barrie between the end of February and the beginning of May.

The event will feature a DJ and games, including foosball and, of course, beer pong.  If you don’t like beer, there is a cidery and two to three distilleries at each event.

All general admission tickets include admission to the festival and an official 12-ounce I❤︎BEER sampling cup. Tokens can be purchased ($2.50/ea) at the festival at the designated token tent.

Designated driver tickets are $10 at the Door.  DD tickets give you admission to the event, but you are not permitted to consume any alcohol. Non alcoholic drinks and food can be purchased using tokens at the local food vendor booths.
