Firefighters battle house blaze in Mississauga

Firefighters are battling a blaze at a house in Mississauga’s west end this afternoon.

In a post late Wednesday afternoon to social media, Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services said firefighting crews are on the scene at a home on Verhoeven Drive, near Erindale Station Road and McBride Avenue.

“Crews are in offensive strategy,” the post, in part, reads.

Fire officials added no injuries have been reported and that the fire is now under control.

The area where the fire broke out is a couple of blocks north of Westdale Mall (Dundas Street West and Erindale Station Road).
