Firefighters battle blaze at two-storey home in Brampton

Crews are investigating after a fire broke out at a home in Brampton.

Shortly before 1:00 p.m. on Thursday (April 20), Brampton Fire and Emergency Services said firefighters were called to a home in the area of Sandalwood Pkwy. East and Bramalea Rd.

Photos shared by BFES show smoke coming from a two-storey detached home with firefighters on the scene.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze and BFES said crews will remain on the scene to investigate what caused the fire.

No injuries have been reported but crews have blocked off Siesta Crt. and Palmolive St. and residents are asked to avoid the area and drivers should find alternate routes if possible.
