Firearm located after traffic stop closes 410 in Brampton

Earlier this morning, lanes on the 410 in Brampton were closed for a police investigation following an apparent interaction between police and a civilian who was pulled over. 

Earlier this morning, lanes on the 410 in Brampton were closed for a police investigation following an apparent interaction between police and a civilian who was pulled over. 

Just before 5:00 am on Dec. 11, Peel police said that lanes were reduced on the northbound 410 between Williams Parkway and Queen Street for a police investigation after receiving a call regarding the incident at 2:20 am.

The investigation began following a traffic stop and police say a passenger suffered minor injuries.

All lanes have now reopened and police say the investigation into the vehicle resulted in officers locating a firearm.

Police say the male and female occupants will face firearm-related charges and appear in court.
