A fire tore through a balcony at a highrise building in Mississauga yesterday.
Fire crews responded to the blaze on an upper floor at 935 Dundas St. E., at Tomken Road, on Sunday around 11:30 a.m., Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services tell insauga.com.
The fire was quickly extinguished.
“Wind driven balcony fire was stopped thanks to their quick and aggressive actions. Well done,” wrote the Mississauga Fire Fighters Association on X.
The fire was contained to the balcony, but windows were broken during the blaze. And smoke reportedly got inside the unit.
There were no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
