Fire department responding to a fire in Brampton

Peel police received a call at 3:10 p.m. in regard to a fire on Clark Boulevard and Lisa Street in Brampton. 

Police say it was an active fire in a high rise building.

Police say it was an active fire in a high rise building.

Brampton Fire and Emergency Services are on scene and are currently evacuating the building.

Injuries are unknown at this time and police are advising people to avoid the area.

UPDATE: Police say the fire is under control and contained to the balcony. No injuries have been reported.
