Fire crews battle active blaze in Mississauga home

A house in the area of at Oscar Peterson Blvd. and Erin Centre Blvd is currently engulfed in flames. Mississauga fire are on site, trying to control the blaze that reportedly originated on the back deck of a residence and quickly spread to the main structure.

The homeowners were alerted about the fire by vigilant neighbours who spotted  the smoke and flames. Their quick actions helped the owners evacuate the premises safely before the situation escalated, while emergency services were en route.

As the fire grew in intensity, and a request for a second alarm was put in. Firefighters from multiple stations have now rushed to the scene, to contain and extinguish the fire, preventing it from spreading to neighboring properties.

Authorities have urged residents and commuters to exercise caution and avoid the vicinity if possible. Traffic disruptions are anticipated in the impacted Mississauga locality.
