Fire causes $1.5M in damages to office building home to Burlington Soccer Club

The Burlington Soccer Club office is closed today (July 28) after a late Wednesday night fire cased $1.5 million in damages to the commercial building its located in.

Halton Regional Police, along with emergency fire crews, attended the fire at approximately 10 p.m. in the commercial building which is located at 3370 South Service Rd.

The Burlington Fire Department arrived to find smoke coming from the third floor. While the cause of the fire is currently not known, it was discovered that it started on the third floor of the building.

No one was injured in the fire.

Despite the office being closed, Burlington Soccer Club officials said all soccer programs are not impacted and will run as scheduled.

“Our office is temporarily closed as a result of a fire in our building,” the soccer club said on its Twitter feed. “The BSC office team is working remotely and is available via email.”
