A fire broke out at a highrise building in Brampton early Friday morning.

As of 8 a.m., fire crews were at the building and had the blaze under control.
Firefighters searched the building and no injuries were reported, Brampton Fire said.
Officials asked people to avoid the area.
In an update just before 9 a.m., Brampton Fire said the fire was extinguished. A few firefighters are assisting with ventilation and salvage operations.
