A Filipino brioche pop-up spot is set to return to the Food District at Square One in Mississauga.
Ensanemada, which is a Filipino spot that specializes in brioches “with a twist,” will be returning to the Food District on Mar. 16.
The brioche pop-up spot is known for its unique brioche flavours such as cookies and cream, mango, red velvet, matcha and cinnamon. Due to its fancy flavour combinations, the bakery has amassed over 5,000 followers on Instagram.
The localized ensaymada is a brioche that is a cross between a pastry and bread. Traditionally, these are topped with grated cheese and sugar and can be found in almost all Filipino bakeries.
Ensanemada is also known for its limited-edition flavours which several people look forward to. In the past, these have included a brioche with maple buttercream, gouda and cheddar and maple-crusted bacon.
And, during holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas, they have also released festive flavours such as Yema Bruleé, Pan de Coco, Blueberry Pie, Roasted Chestnut, Cranberry Orange and more.
The pop-up will be at the Food District from Mar. 16 to. 19, 2023.
