Fetus discovered in Oakville park by pedestrian

A fetus was found by a pedestrian walking in a park early Friday morning (May 19) in Oakville.

Halton Regional Police are investigating the discovery which took place at approximately 8:45 a.m. at Oakdale Park.

A pedestrian was taking a stroll near Munn’s Creek in the park when they saw the fetus.

The Halton police Homicide Unit is conducting the investigation and is seeking anyone with information or video, including dash cam, of the area to contact its tip line at 905-825-4776.

Investigators are requesting video taken after May 18 at approximately 7 p.m.

It is the mandate of the HRPS Homicide Unit to investigate all paediatric death occurrences.
