Female Victim Injured in Shooting in Brampton

Just after noon, police got a call for a shooting in the area of Goreway Drive and Yorkland Boulevard, north of Humberwest Parkway.
The victim is a female adult, police say.
Her injuries are deemed non-life-threatening.

A police presence remains in the area.
Residents should avoid the scene of the incident for now.
UPDATE:
Police are searching for a suspect vehicle described as a 2013 Black Dodge Dart with Ontario licence plate number CFTS598.
The vehicle has tinted windows and a dent on its front driver side.
If seen, residents are asked not to approach and instead contact 911 immediately.
