Female victim hospitalized after carjacking in Brampton

Officers are investigating an assault and carjacking that took place in Brampton this evening.
Police say a male assaulted a female victim and stole a vehicle outside a residence in the area of Forrester Dr and Torrance Woods (north of Steeles and Chinguacousy).
A second male suspect drove off in a blue vehicle, police say.
The stolen vehicle is described as a black Mercedes with licence plate number BZJH813.
The victim was taken to hospital and her injuries have been deemed non-life-threatening.
There is currently no description of the suspects.
More information is expected as the investigation continues.
UPDATE: Police say the stolen vehicle was located by uniformed officers near James Potter Rd and Williams Pkwy.
No arrests have been made as of yet.
