A female has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a bus in Brampton this afternoon (June 26).

Peel Regional Police have released very few details, saying only via Twitter that a female was struck by a bus at Queen St. and West Dr., just east of Hwy. 410, shortly after 1 p.m.

Police said the person is in stable condition.

They haven’t said if the female struck is a woman, child or youth.

Police didn’t specify if it was a municipal transit bus, school bus or other bus that was involved in the incident.

Westbound traffic on Queen St. is being diverted as police investigate and motorists are being told to avoid the area.
