Female pedestrian struck, seriously injured in Mississauga

One person has been hospitalized following a collision in Mississauga this evening (June 26).

Around 9:30 p.m., a woman was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Eglinton and Mavis.

She is being transported to a trauma centre with a head injury, police say.

Roads at the intersection are closed in all directions until further notice.

Residents are asked to avoid the area and take other routes.
