Female in custody after a shooting in Brampton

Peel Police in Brampton were investigating reports of a shooting in Brampton early Sunday morning (April 24, 2022).

At 3:44 a.m., Peel Regional Police received a report of a shooting in the area of Baronwood Court in Brampton.

An adult male was taken to the hospital suffering from a gun shot wounds. The injuries were serious but not life threatening.

A female in custody and the investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE: The victim is stable and no more suspects are being sought.

Peel police say that there is no threat to public safety. The investigation will be continuing by Intimate Partner Violence Bureau.
