The heat doesn’t appear to be letting up anytime soon, with another heat warning in effect for this weekend in Mississauga and Brampton.

Maximum temperatures on Saturday and Sunday are expected to be in the low 30s, but will feel more like the low 40s with the humidity.

Minimum overnight temperatures in the low to mid-20s won’t provide much relief from the heat.

Cooler temperatures are expected to arrive on Monday, Aug 8.

During heat warnings, residents are advised to drink plenty of water, stay in a cool place as much as possible, and check on older family, friends and neighbours.

The risks of heat stroke and heat-related illnesses are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, and people working or exercising outdoors.

Hot and humid air may also bring deteriorating air quality.
