The City of Burlington has scheduled the replacement of features in Leighland Park for 2022 and is currently seeking community feedback through an online survey.

Funding for this project will support the reconstruction of one ball diamond (D2), the reconstruction of the tennis courts and basketball court, the construction of accessible pathways, new site furniture with opportunities for shade and seating and drainage improvements.

Additionally, as part of the renewal, the City is replacing the basketball and tennis courts and is seeking feedback on the community’s use of the current courts along with any possible enhancements.

The survey is open from now until June 30, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. and will gather information about how residents currently utilize the park as well as the changes they’d like to see to the park’s current features.

Phase 1 of Leighland Park Construction is expected to begin in the Spring of 2022 and completed by the Summer of 2022.
