FedEx has announced it’s launching two new e-bikes in Mississauga and Oakville.

As part of the company’s mission to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040, FedEx announced they will be implementing e-bikes in certain urban settings, including six in Toronto, and two in Mississauga and Oakville.

In addition to a smaller carbon footprint, the e-bikes reduce traffic and noise pollution, and are safer for those sharing the road.

Canadian cities are leading the company’s North American rollout of the project, which will culminate in 40 new e-bikes across Canada and the U.S.

FedEx is investing more than $2 billion in order to achieve its goal of carbon neutrality, which includes a fleet consisting exclusively of electronic vehicles.
