After a brief sunny respite, clouds and showers are set to return to southern Ontario on Feb. 8.

According to Environment Canada’s sensors at Pearson Airport, the day will begin with a partly clouded sky at 6 a.m. ahead of sunrise at 7:30 a.m. By then, more clouds will emerge, making things mainly cloudy until 5 p.m.

While overcast, it’ll be a warm day throughout. Temperatures will start at -1 degrees at 6 a.m. and steadily rise until they peak at 5 degrees at about 3 p.m. They’ll stay that high until sundown, shortly after 5:30 p.m.

Winds will remain low throughout the day, peaking at about 15 km/h but mostly staying between five and 10 km/h. However, early in the day, the winds will be strong enough to create a -3 windchill.

Clouds will thicken in the evening. During the day, the chance of showers remains low at 10 percent, but after 6 p.m., that chance will rise to 40 percent.
