The skies continue to brighten in the Greater Toronto Area with sun expected all day today.

After plenty of grey these past weeks, Groundhog Day actually featured enough sun to actually show the furry guys’ shadows.

That trend will continue on Feb. 3 with a clear sky throughout the day, according to Environment Canada’s Pearson Airport readings. The sun will come out tomorrow at around 7:30 a.m. and persist through out the day until sundown at 5:30 p.m.

While it will be sunny, it won’t exactly be warm to begin with. Temptertures will start at -5 degrees at 6 a.m. but will steadily rise to an unseasonally high 4 degrees by 4 p.m. After that the temperature will fall again to 2 degrees by 7 p.m.

Winds will remain low throughout the day. By 6 a.m. they’ll be at around 10 km/h making it feel closer to -9 degrees. However the wind will fall to about 5 km/h by 9 a.m. and the wind chill will vanish by noon.
