Feb. 24 weather: Sunny, cold and will feel as cold as -14c

Except for a few minor variations, the weather Saturday across the western end of Lake Ontario will follow a similar pattern: sunny and cold, with morning temperatures of -4 C and wind chills of -20 in the morning, warming up to -8 in the afternoon.

The wind will die down a bit from Friday, with 15 km/hr breezes picking up to 20 km/hr overnight from Burlington all the way to Oshawa, with gusts in Hamilton of up to 40 km/hr.

Hamilton will also feel a degree warmer than its neighbours, with windchills of ‘just’ minus 19 in the morning and minus 7 in the afternoon.

Clear skies will give way to a partly cloudy forecast Saturday night across the entire region, with a low of minus 8 and wind chills near minus 14.
