Feb. 16 Weather: Scattered flurries and bitter cold today in southern Ontario

Southern Ontario will wake up to mainly cloudy skies Friday with Thursday’s heavy snow giving way to flurries through the day.

Mississauga, Brampton and areas to the north in Milton and Halton Hills will see a 70 per cent chance of flurries during the daytime hours and a 40 per cent chance of a few flakes overnight.

The temperatures will range from zero to minus 7, with 20 km/hr winds, gusting to 40 km.hr. (becoming light in the afternoon), making it feel like minus 10 in the morning and -14 overnight.

Oakville and Burlington residents will see much the same weather pattern, with just a 40 per cent chance of flurries through the day, while Hamilton will have a 30 per cent chance of more snowfall.

Durham Region residents will see similar temperatures, with a 70 per cent chance of flurries and windchills of minus 6 Friday evening and minus 13 overnight.
