It appears that the unseasonably warm temperatures will come to a halt as some frigid weather is expected.

Today (Feb. 11) will begin with a bitterly cold morning as wind chills are anticipated to hit below -7 C,  according to Environment Canada’s Pearson Airport readings.

The temperatures won’t be below freezing forever, as it’s expected to get warmer throughout the day reaching a high of 4 C.

It will be mostly sunny with cloudy periods. Potential wind speeds could also pick up to a brisk 20 km/h before calming down later in the day.

Closer to the evening, temperatures will begin to cool down to -3 C with an overnight wind chill of minus seven. The skies will become partly cloudy with the potential of 15 km/h wind speeds returning.

Though it will be chilly, the good news is meteorologists have not predicted any snow or substantial amounts of rain for the region today.

As Monday approaches, residents can anticipate a mix of sunshine with another bout of cold morning wind chills of -7 C before temperatures warm up to a high of 4 C.

However, it looks like southern Ontario will experience additional wintry weather beginning Tuesday  which could potentially bring snowfall.
