Fatal motorcycle crash closes Hamilton motorway

A motorcyclist is dead following a collision with a van in Hamilton.

According to police, the collision happened on near Concession Rd. 5 and Centre Rd. in the rural north of the city. The intersection sits roughly in the centre between Flamboro and Waterdown.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit has been notified of the crash and police have slowed traffic in the area for them to investigate. With traffic affected, police warned motorists to find alternate routes around the area.

Police have not commented on the status of the van driver.
