Fatal 3 car collision closes roads in Mississauga

A three-vehicle collision claimed the life of one man in Mississauga this morning.

The three-vehicle collision happened at Derry Road and McLaughlin Road in Mississauga around 5:30 a.m.

A man in his late 20s was pronounced dead at the scene, a Peel Regional Paramedic Services spokesperson told insauga.com.

A middle aged man was transported to hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries, the spokesperson said.

There were no other injuries reported.

There is currently a heavy police presence in the area.

Eastbound traffic is blocked at Mavis Road and there is one lane westbound blocked.

The Major Collision Bureau is investigating.
