Fresh produce, prepared foods and locally made products will once again fill downtown Brampton when the city’s Farmers’ Market returns for the 2026 season next week.
The market opens June 13 and will run every Saturday through Oct. 10 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine.
This year’s market will operate from a new location, stretching along Main Street South from Queen Street to Wellington Street and along Queen Street East from Main Street to Chapel Street.
The annual market has long served as a showcase for local farmers, food producers, artisans and small businesses, offering residents an opportunity to shop locally while supporting entrepreneurs from Brampton and across the region.
Visitors can browse fresh fruits and vegetables, prepared foods and handcrafted goods throughout the season.
Opening day will also feature the launch of the 2026-27 Local Authors Showcase in Garden Square, presented by Brampton Library.
The showcase will feature 57 authors from across Peel Region who have collectively written 81 books. Organizers say 39 of the participating authors are taking part for the first time, while 45 are Brampton residents.
Residents will have an opportunity to meet local writers, purchase books and learn more about their work while visiting the market.
The City of Brampton says the market plays an important role in bringing people to the downtown core and supporting local businesses. The market also comes as major revitalization projects, including the Riverwalk initiative and downtown streetscaping improvements, continue to move forward.
The Brampton Farmers’ Market is open between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
