Facebook tips leads to arrest of Scugog man observed passing a school bus

Durham Police received a tip via Facebook about a driver in Scugog Township who was observed passing a school bus and nearly striking several students.
A 63 year-old Scugog man has been charged with stunt driving, improper passing and fail to stop for a school bus.
The driver had his truck towed and impounded for 14 days and his licence suspended for a month. The incident occurred near Island Road.
Our Traffic Safety Coordinator from @DRPSNorthDiv received info from a Facebook page of this incident. A 63-year-old driver of a white pick-up truck failed to stop for a school bus in Scugog near Island Rd and nearly struck some students.
