If you have these popular snacks in your cupboards or on your grocery list, you might want to think again before consuming them for now.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has released two recalls for popular cracker brands.

First, Christie brand Ritz Bits Sandwiches (cheese and pizza flavours) are being removed from stores due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Here’s a closer look at the products:

Next, the CFIA has released a recall for Pepperidge Farm brand Goldfish Flavour Blasted Xtreme Cheddar Crackers, also due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Here’s a closer look at the product:

“Check to see if you have recalled products in your home,” reads a statement from the CFIA.

“Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.”

If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, call your doctor.

What are the symptoms of Salmonella?

“Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick,” reads the statement.

“Young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious and sometimes deadly infections. Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.”

According to the CFIA, there have been no illnesses associated with consuming either of these crackers.

The CFIA is investigating.
