Experts will talk about crime and safety at Brampton public forum

Members of the public will have the opportunity to ask some questions and receive some answers at a town hall meeting next week.

Present at the forum will be Peel Regional Police Chief Nishan Duraiappah and other police staff, and MPP Zaa Hamid who is associate solicitor general for auto theft and bail reform in Ontario.

Other MPPs and Brampton city councillors are also expected to attend.

Brampton East MPP Hardeep Grewal, the organizer of the event, said the forum will be an important community discussion on public safety and crime prevention.

It will take place on Monday, Sept. 29, starting at 6 p.m. at the Embassy Grand Convention Centre & Banquet Hall in Brampton.

Seating is limited, so registration is required. That can be done by following this link.

At the meeting, residents will receive updates from law enforcement and government officials as well as insight into community initiatrives and reforms.
