The city will close Bay St between York Blvd and Barton St West beginning Monday (Oct. 25). Work is scheduled to be completed by Nov. 11.

The closures are part of the central neighbourhood upgrades project. The scope of work includes:

  • Intersection improvements at the corner of Bay and Mulberry St, as well as Bay and Sheaffe St
  • The installation of a pedestrian crossover at Bay and Mulberry St
  • Watermain and sewer replacement
  • Road and sidewalk reconstruction
  • Road resurfacing

Motorists are being asked to follow detour signs using James St South and cyclists can follow detour signs using MacNab St N.

The city says there will be no impacts to Cannon St West as a result of this closure.
