Drivers should expect delays and daily road closures on three main roads in Milton this summer.

As part of its ongoing asphalt program, The Town of Milton has been rehabilitating roads in a cost effective manner.

To date, this program has typically included:

  • Road reconstruction and associated shouldering enhancements
  • Driveway transitions
  • Road crossing culvert clean out, rehabilitation, and replacements

Beginning this week, work on three additional roads will begin:

  • First Line Nassagaweya from No 25 Side Road to No 28 Side Road
  • No 15 Side Road from First Line Nassagaweya to Second Line Nassagaweya
  • Conservation Road Regional Rodd 1, from Guelph Line to East Limit

“In order to expedite the work, lane closures will occur daily, traffic delays are expected,” said a Town spokesperson.

“Access to all residences and emergency services will be maintained during construction. Staged closures may be required to facilitate work. Local residents will receive notices if a closure directly impacts them.”

The work is expected to be completed by Sept. 2 but construction timelines are dependent on many factors, including weather.
