Exhibition about Canadian Residential School system heads to Brampton

An exhibition that focuses on the Canadian Residential School system is coming soon to Brampton.

This exhibition, called Generations Lost: Healing the Legacy of Residential Schools, will be coming to the Peel Art Gallery Museum + Archives (PAMA) in February.

The exhibition will hit PAMA on Feb. 20 and will also focus on the Canadian Residential School system’s impacts on Survivors, their descendants and Canadian society as a whole.

Generations Lost: Healing the Legacy of Residential Schools will be on display until Oct. 1, 2023.

The exhibition is being produced by the Legacy of Hope Foundation (LHF), which is a national, Indigenous-led, charitable organization that aims to educate and raise awareness about the history and existing intergenerational impacts of the Residential School System (RSS) and subsequent Sixties Scoop (SS) on Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis) Survivors, their descendants, and their communities to promote healing and Reconciliation.

PAMA is open Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
