Rise for Mental Health - Peer Support Group/Workshop
There is a new upcoming peer support group in Mississauga. This is for youth ages 14-24. We want to focus on aspects of mental health, which include mostly anxiety and depression. However, we can expand on topics and discussion. It is completely free. Food and drinks will be provided. This will either be taking place in one of the Mississauga hospitals or the library. The location is yet to be determined. If you know anyone would be interested that would be great. We are excited to meet all of you who are interested. We are in need of help as of right now and we are opening up positions for volunteers. Volunteer hours will be given. The goal of this group is to focus on the issues of mental health affecting youth. Also, personal experiences and providing support to one another. As you may know, high school and post-secondary are not always easy and many people face anxiety, depression, and many other mental health issues. We want to help you and share experiences.
