This program is totally dedicated to Oscar Peterson’s music. Born in Montreal in 1925 in the working-class neighbourhood of Little Burgundy, Oscar Peterson became one of the most important pianists in the entire history of jazz. As accompanist to the greatest jazz vocalists of all time, including Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, and as recording artist for the famous Verve Records label, recognition of his talent quickly spread far beyond his hometown. The Remi Bolduc Jazz Ensemble pays tribute to our very own Oscar Peterson!

Playing that is both intense and under control, breathtaking precision, magnetic stage presence, refreshing original compositions: that's the formidable package offered by Remi Bolduc, one of Canada's best jazz saxophonists. Acclaimed at the most important venues from New York to Paris by way of Geneva, Tokyo and Beijing, Remi Bolduc captivates the audience with the dazzling virtuosity and stunning maturity that have made him a most accomplished musician.This program is totally dedicated to Oscar Peterson's music and the Remi Bolduc Jazz Ensemble pays tribute to him as only he can.
