The fourth exciting concert in the MCS Chorus’ Mozart for Mississauga series features the composer’s breathtaking and famous masterpiece, ‘Requiem.’
This immensely moving work is a tribute to Mozart’s genius, and its brilliance has inspired audiences for two centuries. The program will also include Salieri’s exuberant ‘Te Deum.’ The choir will be joined by guest soloists and a chamber orchestra.
Join us at 7:00 pm for a pre-concert talk presented by Artistic Director Mervin William Fick, illustrated by musical examples from the choir.
During the first half of the concert, professional actors in period costume will enhance the performance with short dramatic enactments based on Mozart’s letters and monologues from the play, ‘Amadeus,’ on which the famous movie is based.
Led by Artistic Director, William Mervin Fick, MCS Chorus is an auditioned chamber choir performing all genres of music with a focus on classical repertoire.
