You are cordially invited to attend the Giizhiitaa ~ Coming Full Circle event on behalf of the University of Toronto Mississauga’s Centre for Student Engagement, Riverwood Conservancy, Peel Aboriginal Network, Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board and the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

The Giizhiitaa ceremony showcases the experiences of students in developing their community leadership skills, understanding the importance of fostering inter-cultural inclusion, and a deeper understanding of their role in the community. Guided by UTM mentors, Indigenous Knowledge Keepers and Elders; youth will present the reflections, videos, music and projects focusing on their personal and transformative journeys within the Indigenous Spirit Journey program to re-awaken their intrinsic connections to the land.

The event will take place inside the Maanjiwe Nendamowinan Grand Hall at the University of Toronto Mississauga.

Parking will be provided at UTM lot P9 for registered guests.

Smudging will take place at 11:30 am with a multimedia showcase and lunch provided after.
