Giant Dragon Exhibition
Giant mechanical puppets are a feat of engineering. They require the combination of sculpting knowledge as well as technical expertise in hydraulics and mechanical engineering. The giant dragon featured in this exhibition was constructed by the technical team at the University of Toronto Drama department for the production of J.R.R’s Hobbit. The dragon is 22 feet long, more than 6 feet high and wide and can look through a window of a second storey house when extended.
