Food Truck'N Friday
After taking Etobicoke by storm for two consecutive summer seasons, Food Truck'N Friday has set its sights on the city of Mississauga for a 2-day food truck extravaganza at D.O.T. Furniture.
Taking place Friday, August 12 and Saturday, August 13 at D.O.T. Furniture's head office and clearance store (3105 Dixie Road), the special event will feature an exciting food truck lineup never before seen in Mississauga, plus a dazzling array of prizes and giveaways courtesy of the Canadian owned and operated furniture retailer. D.O.T. Furniture owns 22 stores across southern Ontario, specializing in both indoor and outdoor furniture.
As part of the event, the retailer will be offering 10 D.O.T. Dollars to all guests to spend at this location by December 31, 2016, plus a few lucky guests will be awarded fabulous prizes. Not only can everyone take advantage of D.O.T.'s patio furniture to dine on during the event, they can also purchase all featured items on site to ensure their comfortable dining experience continues at home.
"We couldn't have found a more perfect partner to have teamed up with to bring Food Truck'N Friday to Mississauga for the very first time," said Jason Bellissimo, Director of Sales & Marketing of J.B. Innovative Solutions Inc., and founder of Food Truck'N Friday. "Similar to how D.O.T. Furniture prides itself on providing quality home furnishings, so too does Food Truck'N Friday deliver a top-notch, family-friendly dining experience for everyone. With D.O.T.'s invaluable support, we're confident that Food Truck'N Friday will be a huge hit in Mississauga!"
Food trucks that will be participating at the event are: Buster's Sea Cove, Eva's Original Chimneys, I Love Lasagna, Untamed Chef, The Arepa Republic, Made in Brasil and Fit To Grill. Also participating on both days is Latin food truck Baro, which will be making their Food Truck'N Friday Debut ahead of opening their storefront location on King Street West this fall. Coming on Friday only are Jerk Brothers and Hippie Pops, which specializes in homemade paletas, while on Saturday cool treats will be available courtesy of fan favourite Dolcella Gelato.
GTA Mobile DJ will also be on site both days, spinning top 40 tunes and keeping everyone entertained.
"Our goal has always been to bring communities together and to support Ontario's food trucks, all of which have proven time and time again that being mobile doesn't mean you can't dish out gourmet eats," adds Bellissimo. "Food Truck'N Friday has grown so quickly in such a short time, hopefully our Mississauga debut is a sign of even bigger things to come!"
Food Truck'N Friday will return to its primary residence in Etobicoke and bi-weekly schedule in the parking lot at Bloor St. W. and Resurrection Road on Friday, August 19. The 2-day event at D.O.T. Furniture in Mississauga runs from 4:30-10:00 p.m. on Friday August 12, and from 12:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday August 13. Plenty of free parking is available.
