EMERGE: Before You Get Cancelled

University of Guelph-Humber

207 Humber College Blvd
Mississauga, Ontario

Getting cancelled - it's a social media user's worst nightmare. And thanks to the University of Guelph-Humber, you can make sure it doesn't happen to you!

The University is hosting its 8th Annual EMERGE Conference on March 25, and this year one of its events includes a FREE social media workshop, cleverly titled BEFORE YOU GET CANCELLED.

The workshop intends to educate and inform attendees on the ethics and potential implications of social media by exploring the concepts of cancel culture and digital branding.

Nicole Servinis, a live-eye reporter from Breakfast Television, will share her insights and knowledge on this controversial subject by diving into some real-world examples.

Digital Media Strategist, Tom Yawney, will also take part in the event to discuss the importance of digital branding and offer his advice on how to avoid "being cancelled."

If you aren't sold on the idea already, the event also features light refreshments, an interactive pop-up, giveaways, and more. So be sure to get your FREE ticket today!
