Arif Anwar discusses The Storm, his sprawling intergenerational novel inspired by the 1970 Bhola Cyclone which formed over the Bay of Bengal and killed half a million people overnight. The Storm explores the issues of migration, colonialism, and communal hatred in a seamlessly woven tapestry of five love stories that chronicles fifty years of Bangladeshi history.
